Thomas Kvist Yarns was started as a project between Thomas Kvist and Astrid Tedman in the autumn of 2009. One year later the founders seperated ways which led to Thomas Kvist now beeing the sole owner of the company.

Thomas Kvist comes from a family that has traditions within the textile industry. His father produced textile wallpapers during the 80`s and his mother is the owner of Knappehuset(www.perlehuset.no)- a shop carrying a huge selection of buttons, ribbons, beads and sewing accessories.Knappehuset is situated in central Oslo just behind the royal castle and was founded all the way back in 1935.

Thomas Kvist yarns mission is to be a "facelift" in the industry, an outsider who provides fashionable design and vibrant yarns  which ultimately will create a signature style amongst our knitters. These goals are defined in our motto: Our design - Your style.
